Brevard NEXT · Terms of Service

Effective date: September 26, 2026

These terms are the front door to the Brevard NEXT app. They are not a new agreement, and there is nothing new to sign. They say plainly what using the app means and point to the documents you accepted when you joined. Those documents, and your acceptance records, stay the operative ones. If anything here seems to differ from one of them, the document you accepted governs.

The documents you accepted

Every acceptance is kept with its version and date under Settings, Data & Privacy.

Who we are and who the app is for

Brevard NEXT is the adult program of Youth FIRST Athletics, LLC, run by Coach Jon Shimer in Brevard County, Florida. The app is for adults 18 and older. Signup checks your date of birth and turns away anyone younger.

Youth FIRST Athletics, the youth program in the same app, has its own documents and is not covered by these terms. For families of youth athletes: the Youth FIRST privacy policy.

Your account

Free forever, with no tracking ads

The app is free forever: every program, every tracker, the nutrition pack and the community, with no trial, no paywall and no expiry. No tracking ads, no advertising identifiers, and your data is never sold. A few local Brevard businesses pay to show a card in the app, always labeled Sponsored; they receive no information about you. We count how many times each card was seen and tapped, and by how many members, with no names. Personal training with Coach Jon is a separate choice, paid outside the app.

Not medical advice

The app and your coach give general fitness, nutrition and habit guidance. None of it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and your coach is not a physician or registered dietitian, as the Informed Consent says. Readings from a connected device are estimates, not medical measurements. You train at your own risk, as the Liability Waiver sets out. Talk to your doctor before starting a new program or when your health changes, and stop and get medical help if something feels wrong. In an emergency, call 911.

Using the app fairly

The Code of Conduct you accepted covers how members treat each other, in person and in the app. In the app, that also means:

Coach may remove content or limit an account that breaks these, handled the way the Code of Conduct describes.

Your content and photos

You own what you post: comments, check-ins, notes and the pictures you upload. You let us store it and show it inside the app to the people your settings allow, such as your coach, or other members where you leave a feed or leaderboard switch on in Data & Privacy. Nothing of yours is used outside the app unless you grant the optional Photo/Video Release, which you can decline or withdraw at any time without losing anything. Post only what you have the right to share.

Connected services

You may choose to connect an outside service to the app, starting with Oura; others may follow. Connecting is optional and costs nothing in the app, though some services need their own paid membership to share data. When you connect one:

The connected service's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of it. Oura requires its users to be 18 or older. Oura and other service names belong to their owners; Brevard NEXT is not made, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.

Local partners

Some screens show cards from local Brevard businesses, each labeled Sponsored, on Brevard NEXT only. Each business writes its own descriptions, offers and prices and is responsible for them. Orders and payment are between you and the business: the app only links out and never takes payment. Partners receive no information about you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we tell you in the app and update the effective date above. The Privacy Policy keeps its own rule: when it changes in a way that affects what is collected, shown, shared or kept, you are notified in the app and shown the new version to review. A change to a document you accepted is put in front of you to accept.
