A Youth FIRST Athletics, LLC program · Brevard County, Florida · Adults 18+
Brevard NEXT · Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Brevard NEXT is an adult program: every member is 18 or older, holds their own account, and controls their own data. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who can see it, and the controls you have.
What we collect, and why
Information
Why we have it
Account basics: name, email, date of birth, optional phone
Your login, verifying you are 18+, and contacting you about your training.
Body metrics you log, for example weight, measurements, benchmark results
Tracking your progress and tuning your program. Logged by you or your coach; always optional.
Nutrition and habit entries
The fueling and habit features you choose to use.
Workout activity: check-ins, effort, comments
So your coach can see how training is landing and adjust.
Health notes you choose to share: injuries, conditions, physician guidance
Programming safely around your body. Visible to you and your coach only.
Data from a service you choose to connect, such as Oura: daily sleep, readiness, activity and workouts
Only if you connect one, to show it to you and use it in your own features. See Connected services below.
Technical basics: login timestamps, timezone, device cache, and which version of the app you are running and the day you last opened it
Keeping the app working, reminders landing at sensible local times, and letting your coach see whether an update has reached you.
Anonymous speed and use counts: how long screens take to open and respond, and how many times each screen and feature is opened in a day, with the browser family (for example Chrome or Safari), a rough screen-size, memory and connection-speed group, and the app version. Never a name, an account, a device identifier or the time of day
Making the app faster and better on the phones members actually use. See Speed counts, problem reports and crash notes below.
Problem reports you send, and automatic crash and self-repair notes
Fixing what broke. See Speed counts, problem reports and crash notes below.
Data minimization: we collect only what the training relationship needs. No advertising identifiers, no data sales, no ad networks and no third-party analytics, ever. A few local Brevard businesses pay to show a card in the app, always labeled Sponsored; they receive no information about you. We count how many times each card was seen and tapped, and by how many members, with no names.
Who can see your data
You: everything about you.
Your coach: your profile, training records, the health notes you share, and which version of the app you are on and the day you last opened it, to do their job; also the problem reports and crash notes described below, and only totals and averages from the anonymous speed and use counts. Data from a service you connect only if you turn that on, as Connected services explains.
No other member, ever. Member isolation is enforced at the database layer (row-level security), not just in the interface. Brevard NEXT data is likewise fully separated from the Youth FIRST Athletics youth program.
Where it lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase, on managed cloud infrastructure) with encryption in transit and at rest, access controlled per row by security policy. Payments happen outside the app (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, or cash), and the app never stores card or bank numbers.
Speed counts, problem reports and crash notes
Speed and use counts. The app keeps anonymous counts of its own, in our own database, of how long its screens take to open and respond, and how many times each screen and feature is opened in a day. Each count is grouped only by program, kind of account (member or coach) and day, with the browser family (for example Chrome or Safari), a rough screen-size, memory and connection-speed group, and the app version. It never carries a name, an account, a device identifier or the time of day, so nothing in it identifies you. Your coach sees only totals and averages. It is never sold, never shared, and never used for ads. Timings are deleted after 60 days and counts after 400 days.
Report a problem. When you tap Report a problem and then Send, the app sends your coach your note (if you write one), the screen you were on, the app version, whether you were online, the screen size and browser, whether the app is installed, and the labels of the last few buttons and tabs you tapped (never anything you typed). Nothing is sent until you tap Send.
Crash and self-repair notes. On its own, when a screen breaks or the app repairs itself (for example, clearing an old version), the app sends your coach a short note: the screen, the error's code word and technical details, and the app version.
Who sees them and how long. Problem reports and crash notes are filed under your account so your coach can follow up, only your coach sees them, and they are used only to fix the app. When you delete your account they stay with your name removed. Ask us and we delete them.
Connected services
You may choose to connect an outside service to your account. Today that is Oura; others may follow, and this section will name each one before you can connect it. Connecting is optional and only you can start it, from Settings. It costs nothing in the app, though some services need their own paid membership to share data.
What we read. Only what you allow on the service's own consent screen, and from that only what the app uses. From Oura: your daily sleep (how long, the sleep stages, the Sleep Score and the contributor scores behind it, and when you went to bed and woke), your readiness (the Readiness score and the contributor scores behind it, heart rate variability, resting heart rate and temperature change), your daily activity (steps, calories, the activity score, the minutes of high, medium and low activity and of sitting still with the effort in each, measured in MET-minutes, blood oxygen and the VO2 max estimate), your workouts (the type, start and end, intensity, calories and distance), and the account number Oura gives you, so the data reaches the right member. Only when you open a night in the app: that night's sleep stages in 5-minute steps.
What we keep. One summary per day and one record per workout. We never keep minute-by-minute readings and never heart rate samples. When you open a night, the app fetches that night's sleep stages from the service at that moment, shows them only to you (never to your coach or anyone else), and does not keep them.
How we use it. Only for you: to show it to you, labeled with the service it came from, and in your own features, such as a workout from your ring counting as a training day.
Who sees it. You. Your coach only if you turn on the switch for that service (for Oura, "Let Coach see my Oura data"), which starts off; turn it off and your coach stops seeing it at once. No other member sees it unless the app asks you first and you say yes. The database enforces this, not only the screen.
What we never do. We never sell it, never use it for advertising or targeting, and never give it to an artificial intelligence (AI) model or use it to train one.
How it is stored. With the rest of your data, as Where it lives describes. The keys that let us fetch it stay on our server, are never sent to your phone or to anyone else, and are revoked when you disconnect. So your Home card shows at once, your phone keeps a small copy of only what that card shows (your latest Readiness, sleep and HRV, and when it last synced). It is erased when you log out, and after 14 days without use.
Your export and your account. It is part of your data export, and it is deleted when you delete your account.
Disconnecting. You can disconnect at any time in Settings. We stop fetching at once and revoke our access with the service. The service's own rules decide whether what it already sent may be kept: where they allow it, you choose to keep it or delete it right away; where they require deletion, we delete it and tell you so. Oura's rules require deletion, so when you disconnect Oura, everything Oura sent is deleted at once. Data you kept from a service that allows keeping can be deleted later from Settings, Data & Privacy.
Deletion on request. Ask us to delete what a service sent, in the app or by writing to us, and we do it at once, and always within 72 hours.
The service's own terms. The connected service's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of it, and govern what it does with your data on its side. Oura requires its users to be 18 or older. Connected services are for Brevard NEXT members only and are never offered in the youth program. Oura and other service names belong to their owners; Brevard NEXT is not made, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.
Your rights and controls
Access & export: view your records in the app and request a copy of your data.
Correction: fix anything that's wrong, in-app or by asking your coach.
Deletion: delete your account and data as described in the Data Retention & Deletion document.
We honor these rights for every member regardless of whether a particular Florida or other privacy statute technically applies to a business of our size.
Two programs under one company: the adult app and the youth app
The company behind Brevard NEXT also runs a youth program, and you should know that plainly:
Brevard NEXT: this service. A general-audience program for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and this policy is the one that covers you. As an adult you consent for yourself; there is no parent or guardian in the loop anywhere in your account.
Youth FIRST Athletics: a separate, child-directed service for youth athletes, including children under 13, run with verifiable parental consent and subject to COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). It has its own privacy policy, its own consent documents, and its own protections.
Age screening at signup sends each person to the right one. We ask for date of birth when an account is created. Brevard NEXT refuses under-18 dates of birth; a minor is routed to the youth program and its parental-consent process instead.
They are run apart. Separate programs, separate accounts, separately stored data. Your adult training data is never shown inside the youth program or mixed with youth athletes' data, and youth data is never shown to you. If you also have a child enrolled in Youth FIRST Athletics, that is a second, independent account with its own login. The two are not linked, and nothing you do here appears there.
What this means for you: COPPA's child-specific protections apply to the youth service, not to this one. Brevard NEXT is a general-audience service, so your data is governed by this policy and your own choices, which is the point of being an adult member.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, shown, shared, or kept, you'll be notified in the app, and the new version will be presented for your review.
